Mac Arthor Park Lake in Los Angeles is filled with 2500 hand painted spheres. 10,000 volunteers helped with the painting organized by non profit, Portraits of Hope. They are hoping to add a splash of color to one of Los Angeles roughest parks plagued with homelessness, gangs and it seemed a large population suffering from mental illness. The spheres looked great. The scene was a mix of beauty and pain. Travel is about experiencing real things and sometimes it's painful.
